This is a quick one. It’s getting late and I’m tired. Just got home from watching OCTOPUS by Compagnie DCA. A sensual, energetic dance production choreographed by French choreographer Philippe Decouflé, with pulsating live music accompaniment.

I need a little ranty tanty because I sat next to 3 really immature students (they mentioned they got cheap tickets with their student discounts) who kept whispering to each other and giggling at inappropriate moments. They looked like they were about 20 – give or take 2-3 years, so I don’t understand why they couldn’t shut up. The one right next to me tried copying some movements at the start – luckily she stopped after a while or I’d have reached over and grabbed her arm to stop her. (Hello! Personal space, please) I really hope they weren’t dance students because they ought to know it’s very disrespectful to be acting so childishly when people are performing. There’s female top frontal nudity and a part where a video showed a close-up of some tongues, and they gasped, giggled and made stupid comments.

PLAIN ANNOYING! Totally spoilt my enjoyment of the show. Stupid behaviour like that and flash photography – pet peeves when watching live performances. You agree?

Anyway, rant over. Here’s what I wore today.

Photos courtesy of Mrs K who thought I should document this outfit even though I thought it was only so-so (Love the unicorn rainbow print but I really don’t think this cut is for me… HOW?!)

What I’m wearing today:

Dress: Custom Unicorn print dress from CandiedStarfish on etsy

Skirt: Peach Meringue petticoat from Domino Dollhouse

Accessories: White vintage necklace from eBay; Pink plastic heart ring from SIXX ACCESSORIES

Footwear: Nude patent leather flatforns from ZIPIA

I left Singapore for the US of A in 2013 and now live in Las Vegas with my indie game dev husband and our son Gummi Gumdrop. I am also probably much older than you think I am.
