IMG_5967You would be forgiven for thinking that I must be crazy for wearing a cardigan in the middle of Summer, especially since I live in the desert. Here’s the thing though – it might not look like it, but it’s a really light cardigan worn to the brink of death! It’s pilling and shows its age upclose. I bought this in Singapore and if you can imagine tropical humidity and heat, this cardigan is actually quite breathable. I love it! So glad I brought it here with me when I returned in April to pick up my stuff.

What I’m wearing today:

Top: Black/White polka dot top from UNIQLO x Lulu Guinness

Outerwear: Black batwing open cardigan from COTTON ON

Accessories: Black pleather belt with silver buckle from H&M; Red jewel flower statement necklace from MYBEAD88 on eBay

Bag: Red leather tote from KATE SPADE

Bottom: Light blue cuffed denim shorts from OLD NAVY

Footwear: Black strappy peeptoe heels from KIMCHI BLUE (Urban Outfitters)

I left Singapore for the US of A in 2013 and now live in Las Vegas with my indie game dev husband and our son Gummi Gumdrop. I am also probably much older than you think I am.

  1. Not crazy at all! I had to wear an extra layer one summer I visited the desert, being used to Louisiana heat and humidity. I like that necklace a lot!

  2. I would not care less about the weather and just hope that it will rain later on in the day haha. Ain’t no sunshine gonna bring me and my outerwear down :p
