I’ve decided that the next time I wear this ensemble, it’ll be for Christmas. FIngers crossed that it’ll be warm enough indoors when we’re in New York though… What do you think? I think it’s quite Christmassy, no? Of course, I’ll have a super fluffy down-feather mid-length coat with me as well.
What I’m wearing today:
Dress: Black and red floral skater dress from BRAT STAR
Accessories: Vintage teal and gold necklace from SELECT 18 (Soho, Hong Kong); Black flower barrette from ASOS; Black stretchy belt with gold bow from BCBGeneration
Leggings: Black polka dotted leggings from DOROTHY PERKINS
Yesterday was cheap pizza Wednesday and I usually go to Glazier’s to get a large Cheese pizza for $5.99 but instead, T and I skipped our routine and had Chicago-style deep-dish at Amore Taste of Chicago (just about 15 minutes drive from where we live). It was delicious and superbly filling!! I’m glad I wore something bulky and baggy… HAHHAHA!!
What I wore yesterday:
Top: Grey superheroes sweatshirt from MARVEL
Accessories: Red & Blue Power Rangers earrings from VICTORIA JOMO at Haji Lane (Singapore); Black flower barrette from ASOS
Bottom: Light blue chambray skater skirt from OLD NAVY
Leggings: Crimson opaque tights from UNIQLO (these are highly recommended! Super smooth and durable too)
Footwear: Black slouchy boots from AMAZON
So after I got dressed, I went up to T’s office (which is on the 3rd floor of our house while our bedroom is on the 1st) and showed him my outfit. I asked him what he thought of it and of course, my husband who tries to always be gentle with me didn’t say anything mean even though I could see in his eyes that he was a little bewildered. He merely said “hmmm… that’s random. Are you selling these clothes?”. HAHAHA!
Accessories: Rainbow-coloured felt button necklace from MIAOW & SQUEAK; Purple flower barrette from H&M; Set of 4 coloured bangles from PRIMARK; Beige stretchy belt with neon pink accents from H&M
Bag: White pleather bag with pink bow and black accents from BETSEY JOHNSON
Footwear: Dark Purple sueded platform wedge pumps with bow from HAILEY JEANS CO (on AMAZON)
I’m not sure what I’m going for but I’m glad I found another way to wear this super cute Marvin Martian crop top from Forever21 and also these bargain basement brandless ikat print harem pants I got from Ross. I have to admit that I researched looks for harem pants, tried it out on myself and failed miserably. Maybe I’m going for the Gwen Stefani in her track pants and bindi phase here. I don’t know! Hahahahaa.
I had a lot of outtakes when I did this shoot. It was supposed to be an easy and quick thing – set the timer, prance around and take 2 rounds of 5 shots each. BUT half-way through my first 2 photos I heard howling coming from the 3rd floor. T and Max were howling in unison and T was encouraging Max by going louder and faster. It was so hilarious and somewhat WTF that I just burst out laughing and stopped to listen to them.
I’m looking at these pictures and I think about how I’ll be turning 36 in exactly 2 months to the day. When I was a teenager, I thought that 30-somethings had to have permed hair and wear blue eyeshadow AND red lipstick. My life is nowhere near what I imagined it would be. 36, jobless and childless. But it’s not a bad life at all. I’m thankful for all that I have and all that I’ve become. I just never thought I’d be wearing a bold pineapple print skirt at my age. What did I know?!
I love my Pineapple skirt. I love food-themed clothes and accessories. I love food. PERIOD.
Another day, another bag! I love this Betsey Johnson bag that I picked up for what I think is a steal at Ross! I love Betsey Johnson’s crazy quirky designs and they go with so many of the things in my wardrobe! Even more, I love shopping at outlets, overstock and clearance stores for off-season clothes and accessories!
What I’m wearing today:
Dress: Purple Skull & Ribbons tube dress from HELL BUNNY (purchased at OFF YA TREE in Melbourne, Australia)
Accessories: Pink floral hair band from ASOS; Plastic airplanes necklace (gift from Tamares); Pink bangle from SONIA RYKIEL POUR H&M
Bag: Beige bag with black trimmings and pink bow from BETSEY JOHNSON
I wore this on Friday when T and I went to the new X-Men movie at Town Square. He was disappointed when I didn’t think it was my favourite of all the X-Men movies. It’s definitely the best one out yet but I haven’t yet decided which is my favourite because there are so many factors to consider you know!
On a related note, this H&M tank dress, I also bought at Town Square. It’s possibly my favourite place to go for everything I need (except groceries). My sisters and I went on a crazy post-holiday sale shopping spree when they were here and I got this dress for only USD5!
What I’m wearing:
Dress: Grey tank dress with neon prints from H&M
Outerwear: Black batwing cardigan from COTTON ON
Accessories: Lilac acrylic statement necklace from TALISMAN’S (at Far East Plaza); Black floral barrette from FOREVER21
Hey I’m back with the outfit posts. Hopefully I sustain this now that I’ve bought a tripod and no longer need T to help me take pictures. I love my new tripod – it’s easy to use, very sturdy and only USD19.95 (free shipping with Amazon Prime)! I use my Canon S90 with it and it works like a charm. I might try it again in a few days!
Today’s outfit is a dress I haven’t worn in ages! Can’t even remember the last time I wore it. I actually have 4 copies of this same cut. The original is a NEW LOOK dress and I hunted for ages for similar dresses before I decided to buy some fabric and get it copied at a local tailor back in Singapore.
Also, the shoes I’m wearing today have only been worn all of 2 times (once at our Viva Las Vegas wedding in October last year). I haven’t found any occasion to wear it ever since. But TAH DAH!
What I’m wearing today:
Dress: Green and Pink polka dot copy dress
Accessories: Gold weave pleather belt from H&M; Pink baubles statement necklace from FOSSIL
Monday blues… Here’s something that is a day late. (As you can see, I’m also late with removing the Christmas decor hahhahaha)
What I wore yesterday:
Top: Light blue denim shirt with star prints from OLD NAVY
Dress: Navy blue printed tank dress with in-built bra from UNIQLO
Leggings: Blue ribbed leggings from UNIQLO
Footwear: Black slouchy faux suede boots from AMAZON
I must say that the UNIQLO heat tech bra tops and dresses are a life saver this Winter. I’ve been wearing them almost everyday under my clothes. I have 3 tank tops and 2 dresses which I layer on for warmth and to hide/hold in my fats hahahhahahahaa
