It’s been almost 2 months but I’m back (for a little while anyway). If you’ve been following me on instagram, you’d know that I’ve taken ill quite a few times during the pregnancy and we’ve gone away on a 2-week roadtrip last month (our token Babymoon). I haven’t really done any outfit posts because a) lack of motivation b) it takes too much effort to put myself together when I feel icky all the time c) don’t have that many clothes for this stage of the pregnancy. So in other news, I’m almost there and the baby can come any day now if he wishes (we hope he stays in there for a few more weeks to strengthen his lungs though).

In view of the arrival of baby G, I’ve decided to try to be as frivolous as I can these last few weeks. I’ll have to swap out cute shoes and purses for a diaper bag and easy to wear foot coverings for quite a while, I suspect. T surprised me with this awesome Betsey Johnson Gumball Machine bag recently and it made me perk up! I’ve been so unenthusiastic about everything since we’ve been told that I need to eat/drink more to help G grow and increase the amniotic fluid so he can turn. It seems like the Summer heat does get to me and I eat a lot more during Winter.

So anyway, what I’m wearing today:

Top: Black cold shoulder top from eBay seller dhd-batteryshop

Accessories: Purple shades with gold “eyelash” accents from eBay seller zerouv; Black & yellow geometric acrylic statement necklace from H&M

Bag: Pink Gumball Machine bag from Betsey Johnson

Bottom: Dark-blue denim shorts from OLD NAVY Maternity

Footwear: Pink Jelly Sandals from eBay seller greenlimeorangeIMG_2256

IMG_9285Another of my bag lady looks. How comfy is it? VERY!!! I love being all warm and cosy when the air outside is FFRRRREEZING (at least to me). Layering is fun because you just pile on as many different things as possible to keep warm and the end result is like a rainbow vomited on you! YAY!

IMG_9286What I’m wearing today:

Top: Grey geometric print long-sleeved crop top from MOSSIMO SUPPLY CO

Bottom: Red floral print skirt (Vintage)

Accessories: Green plastic cat necklace from The Mannequin Plastic; Black bow head band from ASOS

Scarf: Black and white polkadotted scarf from WAREHOUSE

Bag: Neon yellow crossbody bag from BCBG Max Azria

Leggings: Pink and blue hearts opaque tights from TOPSHOP

Footwear: Turquoise classic sneakers from SUPERGA

This is what I wore yesterday. I was a little busy bee helping T set-up his office (mostly cleaning up after him), then I went out to get groceries. I usually only buy groceries on Wednesday unless I need to get something that’s at a really good price – yesterday it was 79c Pilsbury cake mix and Gardein for only $3.49 per pack at Smith’s. My sister Rachel wanted 10 boxes of WHITE cake mix which she uses for her rainbow cakes. Apparently they cost about $5 each in Singapore but I only managed to get 9. I guess other people had the same idea.

Other than that, T and I also went out to Mantra Masala (just about 10 minutes from our house) for Indian food before heading to catch Interstellar at Town Square. Dinner was good even though it was quite pricey for the location and we ordered only vegetarian but because it’s near where we live, we’d probably go back. T asked for 8/10 spice level but said he could probably handle 10/10. Made me so proud! Whahahaha!!!

The movie afterwards was 5/5 in my books because it’s been a long time since I’ve seen a science-fiction movie that could suspend my disbelief. Compared to Gravity, I liked the soundtrack and effects so much more. Oh and earlier this year, when T went to E3 in LA, we stayed at the Westin Bonaventure – which was where the NASA space station in Interstellar was supposed to be. It was so obvious because I thought the hotel was quite weird and creepy to begin with. It had strange pods and all these concrete upper floors.
IMG_9080So anyway, this is what I wore yesterday:

Top: Heather Grey Pocket-Front Cropped Tee from OLD NAVY

Accessories: Pink bangle from SONIA RYKIEL POUR H&M; Pastel floral necklace (gift from T)

Bottom: Lilac with blue dots ROCKSTAR skinny jeans from OLD NAVY

Bag: Beige bag with Pink bow from BETSEY JOHNSON

Footwear: Dark Beige moto boots from MADDEN GIRL

IMG_9039IMG_9037So I was off to the Post Office again today. I’ve been selling on Vinted and so far, I’ve made about 5 sales. I like the Post Office on Russell. I go there often because I also send things out for T. It gives me the opportunity to get out of the house, you know?

Anyway, this is what I wore today:

Top: Grey striped 3/4 sleeved boatneck sweater from NEW LOOK

Outerwear: Light grey cropped motorcycle jacket from ADIDAS ORIGINALS

Accessories: Blue and Pink jewel statement necklace (gift from Pris Boh)

Bottom: Black full midi skirt from ASOS PETITE

Bag: Pink bow and black trim beige bag from BETSEY JOHNSON

Footwear: Tan Bow-Tie Ballet Flats from OLD NAVY

The weather just turned overnight. Literally. It was in the mid-30s (Celsius) one day and the next, it was under 20! So sweat shirts are in and shorts are out!!! T is still wearing t-shirts and shorts for now but he puts on an extra shirt when he leaves the house to walk Max with me. I, on the other hand, wear an additional scarf when walking outside. I wore this outfit to do my groceries – which means driving from point to point and only being exposed to the elements for short periods under a minute from car to store. Other than that, I need to beef it up.

What I’m wearing:

Top: Grey spectacles-print sweat shirt from FOREVER21Plus

Bottoms: Grey leggings from OLD NAVY

Accessories: Pink bauble statement necklace from FOSSIL

Bag: Pink bow and black trim beige bag from BETSEY JOHNSON

Footwear: Turquoise classic sneakers from SUPERGA

This pineapple-print skirt has been worn only a handful of times since I bought it. I’m thinking of doing a clear-out sale on eBay to sell some of my things – maybe about 20-25 items. I have a lot of clothes that I don’t wear as much, and are no longer suitable for my lifestyle. $5 and $10 items – clothes and accessories. Maybe. I’m not sure yet. But if I do, this pineapple skirt should go because I think someone else would use it more often than I do. Also, I could use some shopping money for winter clothes.

What I’m wearing today:

Top: Grey tank top from OLD NAVY

Outerwear: Pink 3/4 sleeve cardigan from WAREHOUSE

Accessories: Rainbow-coloured felt button necklace from MIAOW & SQUEAK; Natural bamboo weave bangle from THE ISLAND SHOP

Bag: White pleather bag with pink bow and black accents from BETSEY JOHNSON

Footwear: Black gladiator wedges from KENNETH COLE REACTION

IMG_7950So the secret to taking good selfies is a weird angle huh? I can’t see my double chin in this photo! You know, I have to say that while I like looking at those posed or curated blogs/instagram pictures, it’s a little disconcerting when the person is unrecognisable. I see that happening to a lot of wedding photos – the contouring, falsies, air-brushing and what-not. Why do you want to not look like yourself so much? Maybe a little tweaking or colour-balancing is okay but I’ve seen pictures where their entire face shape is different. I do almost no editing because I’m just lazy like that. These days, if there is an “enhance” button, I’d click it. If not, you get the actual photo – warts and all. Besides, I don’t drive to the park to look wistfully  just so I can take mood pictures with nice backgrounds.

Anyway, I have a huge head. I don’t like taking photos with the myspace-style angle (aka top angle down) if I can help it. When T does it, he always makes me look like a bobble-head doll because he’s almost an entire foot taller than I am. But when I get him to put the camera nearer his navel, the photos come out all blurry or weirder. HAHAHA!IMG_7959

What I’m wearing today:

Dress: Neon Yellow Fit & Flare Ponte-Tank Dress from OLD NAVY

Accessories: Rainbow-coloured felt button necklace from MIAOW & SQUEAK; Black dangly shards earrings from somestreetstallinTaiwan

Bag: White pleather bag with pink bow and black accents from BETSEY JOHNSON

Footwear: Black strappy heels from KIMCHI BLUE (URBAN OUTFITTERS)
