POPSUGAR Must Have Box December 2013

IMG_2067

This box actually arrived over a week ago but I haven’t had time to look through its contents because of my family’s visit. I’d say it’s mostly (not all) good but I like it a little less than last month’s box mostly because there are some things that are of no use (i.e. zero value) to me.

We like to think of this December box as the wish list you never knew you needed. To make this time of year even more wonderful than it already is, you’ll find portable Champagne flutes, a revolutionary mascara, and rich caramel corn – and that’s just the beginning. Unwrap for plenty more surprises to keep the celebration going till 2014. Happy holidays from us to you!

IMG_2069In terms of dollar value, it does exceed what I paid many times over but really, it doesn’t feel that way when there are so many things I don’t know what to do with. I’m not saying that these items are not worth what they retail for, it’s just that I wouldn’t have put up any money for them. At the same time, food items are somewhat cop-outs because I didn’t really subscribe to the POPSUGAR box for food. While I appreciate them, I’d rather get interesting items that I can actually use or try out.

Raves (i.e. stuff I really dig):

Rants (i.e. of no value to me)

What do you think of my Rants and Raves divide? Are you interested in any of the items I don’t want? Would you like to swop me? Let me know!

POPSUGAR Must Have Box September 2013

My POPSUGAR Must Have Box for September 2013 arrived on 25th September.

This September box is all about doing it yourself, whether that means starting a new project making something for your or a friend, beautifying your home, or tackling an endurance workout. Style is on our minds as our team takes on yet another Fashion Week, but we’re also focusing on our homes as we look ahead to the chillier moths. We can’t wait to see what you create! We hope you enjoy the September box.

IMG_9974As you can tell, I am not ye of lil faith and have taken the plunge to subscribe to this after my unfortunate encounters with at least 3 of these monthly boxes in Singapore. I really love the idea of these subscription boxes and there are so many different ones in the US that I want to try (and even purchase some for T) – there’s even one for GEEKS!

IMG_9975IMG_9976This month’s box includes

I love the Barr-Co. reed diffuser and it smells really yummy – both T and I love it! We currently have it in the window sill of our bathroom and the apothecary bottle is so chic especially when the sun shines through it.

The That’s It bar and Sharkies organic energy chews  were gobbled up by T on our road trip through California yesterday – he said they were pretty good.

The DIY book, the pretty floral coasters and the headbands – I’m not so sure what to do with them so I might do a giveaway soon!

My first POPSUGAR Must-Have box and I’m rather pleased at what I got for USD35 inclusive of free shipping! YAY! This is way better than the sample-sized stuff we usually get in Singapore. Can’t wait to see what else I get next month! Fingers crossed it’ll be just as good.
