Today’s outfit is more about the accessories than anything else. I got this necklace in the mail a few days ago from my dear dear friend Ryddy (along with chopsticks, another pin and a lovely birthday card). And because I love it so much, I’m going to wear it for the next few days – it’s kitschy but it’s so versatile with my wardrobe!
What I’m wearing today:
Top: Purple tank top with stripes from COTTON ON
Dress: Purple stretchy tank dress from TOPSHOP
Accessories: Rainbow-coloured felt button necklace from MIAOW & SQUEAK; Plastic PLAYMOBIL flower earrings from BITSCH KITCH; Pink bangle from SONIA RYKIEL POUR H&M
Bag: White pleather bag with pink bow and black accents from BETSEY JOHNSON
Footwear: Sparkly pink sneakers with elasticised laces from CONVERSE
I have no idea what I’m going for but I kinda like the neon yellow/green (I can never tell) accents.
What I’m wearing today:
Top: Black Marvin the Martian crop top from FOREVER21
Accessories: Neon yellow string earrings from FOREVER21; Multi-coloured shards necklace from LOUCHE ACCESSORIES; Set of 4 coloured bangles from PRIMARK; Large Pink bangle from SONIA RYKIEL POUR H&M
Bottom: Black swing skirt with smocked waist from FOREVER21 (this is a recent purchase so it’s probably still in stores)
Just a quick one today. Sometimes, it’s not about what fancy new things one is wearing – it really is what I wear on a daily basis. I love band t-shirts and I wear them VERY OFTEN. And oh yes, how can we forget – favourite necklace of the moment again! Woohoo!!
As you can tell, this is statement necklace is my Accessory Du Jour. It’s just so fun and easy to throw on almost everything I own. I got it at the FOSSIL outlet store at Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas in Primm Valley for only USD15 last year!
As you can tell, I love bright colours. I am making up for lost time since I spent most of my 20s in dark coloured clothes (and vertical stripes). Given that I spent 5 years as a school teacher, I felt like it was part of the job description that I dress more “sensibly” and less “flashy”. Needless to say, I wasted my youth pretending to be an old lady.
I’m going to be 40 in 4 years and even if age is just a number, damn Mother Nature and gravity doesn’t know that. I fear the day when I get too saggy to enjoy myself anymore… HAHHAHAHA!!! So the time is NOW! People, hear me. THE TIME IS NOW! Regardless of your insecurities. It WILL eventually go downhill and you don’t want to wait for that day to come before regretting everything you didn’t do.
Bottom: Mint swing skirt and Peach Meringue petticoat from DOMINO DOLLHOUSE
Accessories: Pink baubles statement necklace from FOSSIL; Pink bangle from SONIA RYKIEL POUR H&M; Black stretchy belt with double buckles from BCBGMAXAZRIA
Hello I’m back and have you heard? I’ve been nominated for the Singapore Blog Awards 2013! I’m one of the top 10 finalists for the Levi’s Best Fashion Blog so please vote for me! Online voting constitutes 30% of the score. And you can vote once a day, everyday until 23 June 2013! I dedicate this to all the fat girls who make things happen for themselves. Style comes in size fat and you better believe it!
Today, I’m wearing a dress that I think I’ll wear very often from now onwards. I can’t believe I took so long with this one. Totally in love with this ASOS Midi Dress (yes, I realise it’s a maxi on me). The jersey fabric is super soft and I can see myself sleeping in it. Unfortunately though, I’m so short (1.53m) that the dress is a tad too long (Ryd says I look like a pilgrim) and the sleeves need to be folded so that my hands can move. I bought it in a UK16 and it’s less than SGD30! SCORE! With ASOS’s free shipping too! w00t!
What I’m wearing today:
Dress: Grey Midi Dress with long sleeves from ASOS
Accessories: Red plastic pencil sharpener earrings and Multi-coloured long airplane necklace from Bitsch Kitsch; Fuchsia bangle from Sonia Rykiel pour H&M
Footwear: Brown distressed faux leather booties from RUBI SHOES
Today is another gloomy day, I’m just glad that the rain let up easily and I wasn’t caught in the wetness. Appraisals for me happen in about 4hours. I believe I put in as much as I could’ve last year and I hope it’ll show. Fingers crossed for a good review!
Anyways today I’m wearing a new t-shirt I got at the Tennis show in March! They’re an American indie pop act from Denver and I had so much fun at their show!
What I’m wearing today:
Top: Grey band tee from TENNIS
Accessories: Bright pink obi bow belt from H&M; Bangle from SONIA RYKIEL POUR H&M; Multi-coloured hairbow (gift from T)
Skirt: Mint Green chiffon skirt and Black MERINGUE petticoat from DOMINO DOLLHOUSE
Footwear: Black square studs P Galia loafers from STEVE MADDEN
And introducing my photographer, Mrs Mylene Fong!!
