This is another non-maternity outfit. I think I’m doing pretty well with adapting my wardrobe considering I’m already 7 months pregnant. This is a new dress I recently got on sale and I can definitely see myself wearing it for as long as my shoulders fit. It’s really generously cut, stretchy and has 2 pockets! I KNOW… pockets in a dress!!! The dream! HAH!
For some reason, my belly looks extremely high and round in these pictures and since these pictures were taken a week ago, I can safely say that I probably look even bigger now. I’m now in my 3rd trimester – actually I still have a few days before I hit it, but for the sake of rounding it up *koffkoff*. We are doing the “less than 100 days to go” countdown but I won’t know how many for sure until my next OBGYN appointment about a week away. I’ve heard that the last month of your pregnancy seems like the longest and most women are so over and done with the symptoms they just want to get the baby out as soon as it’s safe. I have diabetes and some other health factors that make this a high-risk pregnancy. I’ve been told months ago that for safety reasons, I would most likely be induced early or offered a c-section. So we’ll see…
What I’m wearing:
Top: Red HELLO KITTY t-shirt from OLD NAVY (this is not a maternity shirt)
Leggings: Grey & Black triangle graphic print fold-over yoga pants from OLD NAVY
Being frivolous is getting more difficult when there are so many issues in your life you can’t take lightly. The point of this blog is to document life’s more trivial pursuits and instead there are so many ranty-tanty things I would like to write about, so let me try this again. Here’s something silly that I threw together about a week ago.
What I’m wearing:
Top: Blue ribbed tank from OLD NAVY
Outerwear: Mustard yellow chiffon jacket from a nonameshop in Far East Plaza
Accessories: Pink/Blue wooden bead necklace from FOREVER21
Bottom: Multi-coloured print maxi skirt from WET SEAL
So it’s officially cover-up time. It’s so cold that even T has to wear a jacket and trousers to work – no more bare legs and t-shirts for him! I’m obviously a little more susceptible to the cold since I’ve lived in a tropical climate all my life. I was complaining about the cold last year but now that I’ve gone through the crazy desert summer in its entirety, I can safely say, I’m sorry!! I won’t complain about the cold again!! I love layering and the cold weather just means, I need to be more diligent about moisturising. Right? Right?
Accessories: Blue and Pink jewel statement necklace (gift from Pris Boh); Stormtrooper Disney brooch (gift from Sianny and Ginang); Brown pleather belt from STEVE MADDEN
So this happened today. I took these pictures on my way out to the Post Office and for some silly reason, it didn’t occur to me to put down the plastic bag I was carrying. I have no idea where I got this Lakeshore bag – have never bought anything from there and I have no children. It was however holding 3 parcels that I was going to mail out.
So it’s officially Fall and it’s getting colder. I’m glad because Vegas can be really super hot and Summer has been unbearable. I’ve never had to endure the full length of a Vegas summer (previously I was here only for a week) but now that I have, I’m so glad to layer up! I’ll never complain about the cold again!!!
This jacket was first featured in a post I did while I was in Seattle with T (for PAX Prime). Because I didn’t take pictures of the gorgeous embroidery behind this time around, you can click on that previous post to see what it looks like. I like that it looks like a generic utility jacket and this mossy green is perfect for hiding stains… HAHAHA!What I’m wearing today:
It’s officially FALL!!! (I need to say that more often because I find it weird to say Fall instead of Autumn even after a year living here.) These boots are going to feature so often in my Fall Fashions, I just know it! I found them at the Blue Diamond Road Ross store for only $16.99. They’re 8.5 and I usually wear a size 7 or 7.5. But with thick hiking or thermal socks, they worked perfectly! I was a little unwilling to let them go because they were the only pair there. The zippered back makes slipping in and out of them so easy too! My only grief with them is that the soles are a little smooth and I did slip a little at the grocery store. Probably need to get something to increase traction before I wear them on slippery cold surfaces.
Summer aka shorts-season is almost over and soon it’ll be cardigan season (my favourite)! Got about 2 or 3 more weeks to bare legs – shorts and skirts, before I start covering up slowly. My favourite thing to wear right now are shorts. These denim shorts = best purchase this summer! Got it on sale at OLD NAVY for only $14 and I think I’ve worn them so much, they’ve practically paid for themselves!
What I’m wearing today:
Top: Red butterfly-sleeved top with white embroidery from FOREVER21 PLUS
Accessories: Mint green & silver multi-strand bead necklace from ACCESSORIZE; Black flower barrette from Forever21
Bottoms: Light blue cuffed denim shorts from OLD NAVY
